About
We create the conditions for people to slow down, reflect, and get honest about their lives and clear about what deserves their attention.
Four Corners is for high-capacity people who have built full lives, but sense a drift beneath the surface. Not burnout, but something quieter. A gap between who they want to be and how they're currently living.
Through immersive expeditions, one-on-one coaching, and curated peer groups, we create space for the kind of reflection that's nearly impossible in the rush of everyday life. The work is both challenging and nourishing, and our goal is that you return more grounded, more integrated and more equipped to flourish.
Leadership Team
Four Corners was founded out of friendship and a shared sense of needing ourselves what we now offer to others.
Jeff Dykstra
Co-Founder/Principal
Jeff grew up in Western Colorado, spending much of his childhood exploring the mountains, deserts, and rivers of the region. Those landscapes — and a deep faith — continue to shape his belief that some of life's most important insights are found when we step away, pay attention, and engage challenges that serve a greater good.
Jeff is Co-Founder and Principal of Four Corners Exploration, where he guides leaders through immersive experiences, coaching, and conversations designed to help them see clearly and live with greater intention. He also serves as a Venture Partner with Praxis, supporting entrepreneurs and leaders across Africa.
Previously, Jeff co-founded and led Partners in Food Solutions, a global nonprofit that connects the expertise of leading food companies with high-potential food businesses across Africa. The organization's work has helped create jobs, strengthen food systems, and expand access to safer, healthier food for millions of people. In acknowledgement of his leadership and the impact of PFS, he has been named both an Ashoka Fellow and a Bush Fellow.
Jeff attended and graduated from University of Oxford (Saïd Business School/Pembroke College) where he earned a Masters Diploma in Organizational Leadership and Georgetown University where he studied and became an ICF accredited leadership coach. A Colorado native now living in Minnesota, Jeff is most at home playing in beautiful, wild places, and pursuing conversations with family, friends and clients that get to the heart of the matter.

We live and work in a world that is loud, polarizing, frenetic, and combative—and those qualities are easier to absorb than resist. We believe what the world most needs are people who move differently: reflective, authentic, grounded, and humble. People who have done the work to know what they stand for, and who carry that clarity in every room they enter.
Like many of the people we now serve, we spent years building careers, raising families, pursuing meaningful work, and trying to be present for the people who mattered most. Along the way, we noticed something. Most thoughtful leaders weren't struggling because they lacked information, ambition, or opportunity. If anything, they had an abundance of all three. What they lacked was space. Space to reflect. Space to ask bigger questions. Space to notice where life was carrying them before they drifted too far from what mattered most.
The seeds of Four Corners were planted in 2019 when a group of friends set out to run the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim. We were asked to facilitate a few conversations along the way and used the journey as a backdrop for reflecting on life, leadership, relationships, and purpose. What surprised us wasn't the physical challenge. It was what happened around it. Something about moving through a beautiful and demanding landscape, alongside trusted companions, created a different kind of conversation. People slowed down. They paid attention. They talked about things they had been meaning to talk about for years. The experience stayed with us.
A couple of years later, we gathered a small group of leaders for a backcountry ski trip near Telluride. Again, we found ourselves asking a simple question: Why do these conversations seem different here? Over time, a few patterns emerged.
Beautiful and wild places have a way of creating perspective. Physical effort quiets some of the noise we carry. Trust grows when people share meaningful experiences together. And thoughtful questions, asked at the right time, can open doors that often remain closed in everyday life.
What began as a handful of trips gradually evolved into something more. We added coaching. Peer groups. Retreats. Frameworks and tools to help people continue the work after they returned home. Along the way, others joined the journey. Alumni became Exploration Guides. Friends introduced friends. Our wives, Molly and Kari, helped shape the experience in countless visible and invisible ways. What started as a few conversations among friends slowly became a growing community.
Today, Four Corners creates experiences for people who want to step away long enough to see clearly. Some arrive seeking clarity about work. Others about marriage, family, leadership, legacy, health, or purpose. Most discover that the questions are more connected than they first imagined. At the heart of it all is a simple belief: A meaningful life rarely happens by accident. It requires occasional pauses. Honest reflection. Trusted companions. And the courage to orient your life around what matters most. That's the journey we're inviting people into.
