Expeditions

Step away from the noise. Walk into a beautiful, wild space. See what becomes clear.

A Four Corners expedition is a retreat that takes you from the day to day busyness of your life into beautiful, wild places, slows you down, and connects you with a curated group of high EQ, low-ego, high-capacity people.

The days pair human powered motion — hiking, skiing, rafting, biking — with intentional reflection guided by our Field Guides. Physical challenges. Honest conversations. A rhythm designed to slow you down, reflect, and help you see more clearly.

Upcoming Expeditions

We learned early that the most transformative element of a Four Corners experience isn't the landscape, the curriculum, or even the guides. It's the people on the journey. That's why we curate every group with the same care we bring to designing the experience itself. We look for accomplished people with high emotional intelligence and low ego. People who can be vulnerable without being fragile, confident without being dominant, and present without performing.

If this sounds like you, then we'd love to connect and explore if an upcoming experience may be a fit.

An Ethos of Intentionality

We've found that people progress through the following four stages as their resources and responsibilities increase. Without meaningful connection and clarity, these stages can get in the way of a flourishing life.

  • The Illusion of Safety

    01

High-capacity people default to predictability and control, and over time start treating vulnerability as a threat rather than a signal. Four Corners reframes that friction as a compass pointing toward purpose and meaning.

  • The Asymmetrical Life

    02

Because controllable domains feel safest, people pour disproportionate energy into the roles where they perform best while the areas without immediate consequences like health, honest relationships, and generosity quietly erode. Four Corners challenges them to invest in the whole person, not just the performing one.

  • The Quiet Disconnection

    03

That lopsided life doesn’t produce a dramatic crisis, it produces a slow drift. Successful on paper, but sensing misalignment beneath the surface. Four Corners interrupts the drift by creating time, place, and structure to step out of the noise and realign with what matters most.

  • The Threshold

    04

The drift leads to a crossroads, a life that is full but not fully lived, and a frustration they can’t quite name. Four Corners guides people through that threshold, helping them trade the armor of control for a life of meaningful risk and purpose.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. But you should be willing to do something a little outside your comfort zone.

Each expedition is different — walking 100 kilometers on the Camino asks something different of you than biking the White Rim Trail or Rafting the Salmon. We’ll be clear about the physical demands beforehand and help you prepare well.

The goal isn’t athletic performance. The physical challenge is part of the experience — enough friction to get your attention, slow you down, and create space for something different to emerge.

We curate each group carefully.

Our participants tend to be accomplished, curious people with high EQ and low ego — leaders who have done meaningful things, carry real responsibility, and are still interested in learning. They’re confident without needing to dominate the room and willing to be honest without making everything about themselves.

You don’t need to know anyone before you come. In fact, some of the richest groups begin as strangers.

Both. And neither, exactly.

The landscape and physical challenge are real. So is the reflection.

Our days pair human-powered movement with good food, honest conversation, quiet, and intentional work using the Four Corners Field Guide. We’re not trying to squeeze a leadership seminar into an outdoor trip. The experience itself is the curriculum.

That depends on you.

Our Field Guides create a thoughtful arc for the experience, but we leave plenty of room for what surfaces along the way. You might find yourself thinking about your leadership, relationships, purpose, health, a transition ahead, or simply the pace and shape of the life you’ve built.

We provide enough structure to go somewhere meaningful — and enough space for discovery.

Enough to arrive ready, but not overwhelmed.

Before the expedition, we’ll provide everything you need to prepare physically and practically, along with some light reflection to help frame the experience. Depending on the trip, we may also gather as a group beforehand.

You don’t need to arrive with answers. Just come prepared, curious, and open.

Each expedition is bespoke, so the specifics vary by location. We’ll clearly outline lodging, meals, guides, equipment, ground transportation, and other inclusions before you commit.

Generally, once you arrive at our designated starting point, we take care of the details so you can put your phone away, settle into the rhythm, and be present.

We’re careful about promising transformation. Life rarely works that neatly.

What we can promise are the conditions: a beautiful, wild place. Physical challenge. A thoughtfully curated group. Time away from the usual noise. Good questions. Honest conversations. Stillness.

What comes clear in that space is different for everyone but often leads to a new commitment or way of walking through your world.

Our hope is that you return home more grounded, more integrated, and more attentive to what matters most.
